Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport was the fourth-busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic in 2020. The primary international airport for the DFW metroplex, it is also the largest hub for American Airlines. To facilitate future growth, DFW International Airport is working with American Airlines to further expand by adding Terminal F, including up to 24 more gates.
After more than 80 years in Burbank, Logix Federal Credit Union Headquarters relocated to the Santa Clarita Valley to accommodate rapid growth while consolidating operations in one location. Completed in 2019, Logix’s new three-story, 180,000-square-foot headquarters includes PermaBASE® Cement Board.
This stunning and sustainable private residence scored 118 LEED points, the highest ever awarded for a new house at the time it was constructed. The house, which features an open floor plan with ceiling fans throughout, was also carefully designed and situated to take advantage of large trees that provide plenty of shade.
Virginia Tech Carilion Biomedical Research Expansion
Cutting-edge brain, heart and cancer research will flourish in an expanded facility at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. This newly revamped building – a partnership between Virginia Tech and Carilion Clinic – will also house research on metabolism and immunology along with biomaterials and body-device interfaces (electronic devices and apps that transmit data). Half of the funding for this $90-million expansion project is from the state of Virginia with the balance subsidized by Virginia Tech and Carilion Clinic.
